Example: Configuring the SRX Series Integrated Convergence Services Media Gateway (J-Web)

In this example, you configure the media gateway. You can accept default values for the transport (UDP) and the SIP port number (5060).

Note: This example does not show how to configure media gateway trunks. However, it refers to the mg1–dialPlan, which includes media gateway trunks. See Configuring a Media Gateway Dial Plan Using Route Patterns With Access Codes for SRX Series MGW Integrated Convergence Services (J-Web) for how to configure the mg1–dialPlan dial plan, which includes media gateway trunks for this example configuration.

To configure the media gateway:

1. Select Configure > Convergence Services > Media Gateway > Media Gateway.
2. Click Add to create a new media gateway.
3. In the Media Gateway field, type LA-media-gateway.
4. In the Call server port, type the name of the peer call server peer-server-new-yorkHQ.
5. In the Dial Plan field, type mg1-dialPlan to specify the name of a preconfigured SRX Series MGW dial plan.
6. In the Zone field, type la-branch-trusted-zone to specify the service-point zone for the SRX Series MGW.
7. Click OK to save the configuration.
8. Click Commit to commit the configuration.
