Resolved Known Problems

Release 7.0.4 is based on the 7-0-3p0-7 patch release and incorporates all problem resolutions found in that release. For information about resolved problems in a patch release, customers with valid service agreements may log in to the JUNOSe Download Software page on the Customer Support Center Web site at https://www.juniper.net/support/csc/swdist-erx/. Select the Patch Release History for the JUNOSe release you are interested in.

The following problems were reported open in Release 7.0.3 and have been resolved in this release, or have been resolved since the 7-0-3p0-7 release. ATM

• 1483 ATM1483 NVS conversion causes startup synchronization error. [Defect ID 76378]

BGP

• BGP should not install a vrfInternal route to 0.0.0.0/32 if a default route is leaked into a VRF. [Defect ID 77227]

CLI

• RADIUS authentication for VTY lines doesn't work. [Defect ID 76873]
• Telnet server behaves differently between 6-0-3 and 6-0-5. [Defect ID 79085]

Connection Manager

• SRP-40G+module resets with panic; task: dprofColl; file: MmcDriverUtil.cc. [Defect ID 74658]
• Large amount of CPU cycle spends on processing incoming TTL=1 traceroute packet which cannot be stopped by existing policy. [Defect ID 66569]

Control Bus

• The router stops all logging. [Defect ID 74898]

DHCP External Server

• After SRP switchover DHCP External sends an invalid authid. [Defect ID 78970]

DHCP Relay

• CLI command set dhcp relay proxy send-first-offer configures DHCP Relay/Proxy to send first received Offer. [Defect ID 76849]
• From a DHCP server to a DHCP client, modified DHCP Proxy Backend NVS to maintain configured value.

DHCP Server

• In an S-Vlan configuration the show ip dhcp-local binding command only displays inner VLAN ID. [Defect ID 78968]
• The output of show subscribers only displays the Outer VLAN ID but not the Inner for DHCP clients. [Defect ID 79078]

Ethernet

• ARP entry not removed after a DSI interface is removed. [Defect ID 77216]

Forwarding

• Egress forwarding rates for QOS shaped interfaces may be inaccurate under certain conditions. [Defect ID 75701]
• SA Validation is not effective for destinations 224.0.0.x. [Defect ID 75622]
• The show egress-queue rates output for LAC interfaces depends on the configured shaping mode. [Defect ID 78850]

Hardware

• ATM/GE line module Hardware 2xOC3-ATM/GE Hybrid card will stop transmitting ATM cells. [Defect ID 75241]
• Forwarding problems when qos-byte-adjust is enabled. [Defect ID 77041]
• SRP console prints out Out of Buffers.... message when attempt copy a core dump to host. [Defect ID 68931]
• Robust fix -SRP-10/40 often failed transition from Standby to Active because of Scrsa Enet DP83843 PHY loopback test failure. [Defect ID 68509]

ICC

• SRP module reset with panic; file: iccTransport.cc; task: icc. [Defect ID 73588]

IGMP

• On the E320 router, you cannot limit the number of IGMP groups that a port can accept by using the multicast group port limit command. The private SNMP MIB for IGMP (rsIgmpMIB) does not support the slot/adapter/port interface specifier that is required by the E320 router. [Defect ID 61071]
• Line module reset with panic arg (0xfd70a3d8); file: osEvent.cc; task: scheduler. [Defect ID 76595]

IP

• Incorrect values returned when performing Routing Table OIDs via SNMP. [Defect ID 71917]
• Default route to null0 prevents an AccessInternal route from being installed. [Defect ID 75997]
• The router accepts TCP connections to the directed-broadcast address of a locally connected subnet. [Defect ID 76028]
• IGMP interface NVS and IGMP OIF-MAP NVS should cleanup stale IP UID entries on reload. [Defect ID 77028]
• Tab between DNS name and IP Address in traceroute output is missing. [Defect ID 77075]
• rsIpMgmtIntf.cc SRP module reset when user attempts to delete an arp entry while incorrect interface is utilized. [Defect ID 77182]
• SRP module reset with panic msg m_copydata file: os.cc task: ip_RxData_1. [Defect ID 78891]
• BRAS Scaling reset panic in scheduler file: ontrolNetwork.cc line: 762 following LC redundancy. [Defect ID 74667]

L2C

• SRP module reset with processor exception 0x300 (data access); task: l2c. [Defect ID 75116]
• L2C neighbor name with double quotes causes hundreds of neighbor entries in show config output. [Defect ID 76122]

L2TP

• Active SRP module reset with panic: l2tp file: ar1L2tpEngineSlot.cc. [Defect ID 172762]

Line Module Redundancy

Local Address Server

MGTM

• The limited broadcast check should not be performed for /31 subnets. [Defect ID 78952]

Mirrored Storage

• Line module reset: processor exception 0x1000 (i.d. software emulation). [Defect ID 75521]

OS

• Core dump after removing/inserting GE IOA exception: 100 task: interrupt. [Defect ID 74243]
• Syslog stops working when source address is added/changed. [Defect ID 75090]
• Enable password recovery not working in E320. [Defect ID 75585]

OSPF

• SRP module reset with panic: ospfNbr.cc line 178 task: ospfHello_msgQue last errno: 0x110001. [Defect ID 77049]
• Forwarding address of external LSAs re-computed when a circuit is configured into or out of OSPF. [Defect ID 49385]

PIM

• Incorrect PIM hello holdtime when helloInterval is changed. [Defect ID 75504]
• IP pim query-interval missing from interface config after SRP failover. [Defect ID 75564]

Policy Management

• Scaling test of dynamic services indicates Policy Management is going to NVS. [Defect ID 73001]
• Policy Management references least specific route even after more specific one becomes available. [Defect ID 77234]

QoS

• Error log after every SRP switch with HA enabled. [Defect ID 75497]

RADIUS

• LNS information incorrect in RADIUS Accounting-Stop messages. [Defect ID 76806]

SDX

• When a large number of SDX managed subscribers log in to an E-series router in a very short period of time (as when the router is reloaded or its software is upgraded), any of the following consequences of the overloading might adversely affect a user's session: [Defect ID 74417]

• The interface does not get an output policy.
• The interface gets an empty input policy.
• The interface does not get a QoS profile.
• The interface gets an output policy with duplicate classifiers.
• Zero-reference policies and classifiers are not cleaned up.

• In certain configurations, SDX-managed subscribers experience lower-than-expected call setup rates. [Defect ID 74865\75672]
• SDX Client doesn't send to SAE the DHCP options. [Defect ID 76023]
• SDX sends nasPortId without physical interface information on DSI over GRE. [Defect ID 76715]

SONET

• SRP module reset with panic; task - sonet_1_init; file - r1SonetEngine.cc; line - 4694. [Defect ID 75487]

Stateful SRP Switchover (High Availability)

• One of the following log messages is displayed if stateful SRP switchover (HA) attempts to initialize when the standby Flash disk is full: [Defect ID 62172]

If you subsequently issue the show redundancy srp command, the following criterion is displayed:
