Troubleshooting the M10i Power System When LEDs on All Power
Supplies Are Off
Problem
When no power
is provided to the router, no LEDs are lit, including the power supply
LEDs and the alarm LEDs on the HCM.
Solution
To troubleshoot the power system when no LEDs
are lit:
- Check if the router has been powered off or if
a power failure has occurred.
- Check that the power is being provided from the
facility power distribution.
- Check if the system temperature has exceeded the
acceptable maximum. The Routing Engine shuts down all power supplies
is the temperature exceeds the maximum. Excessive system temperature
is almost always caused by excessive environmental temperature. Correct
the environmental temperature before repowering the router.
