Transferring Control of the T1600 Router to the TX Matrix Plus Router

The final step of the integration of an operational T1600 router with the TX Matrix Plus router is transferring control from the T1600 router to the TX Matrix Plus router.

Note: After you transfer control to the TX Matrix Plus router, you can roll back the T1600 router to its original configuration, but traffic through the T1600 router will be interrupted (see Rolling Back the Integration on the T1600 Router for more information).

  1. On external management devices connected to the console or auxiliary ports of both TXP-CIP-0 and TXP-CIP-1, reboot the corresponding Routing Engines in the TX Matrix Plus router at the same time:
    user@host> request system reboot
  2. On external management devices connected to the console or auxiliary ports of T1600-CIP-0 and T1600-CIP-1, reboot the corresponding Routing Engines in the T1600 router:
    user@host> request system reboot
