To upgrade a SIB:

The fiber-optic array cables should already be connected to the TXP-F13 SIBs on the TX Matrix Plus router. This procedure connects the fiber-optic array cables to the TXP-T1600 SIBs in the T1600 router (four for each TXP-T1600 SIB). To connect the switching planes:

If show chassis sibs shows that any SIB is in the Check state, issue the show pfe statistics traffic command to verify the level of traffic. Verify that there are no fabric drops. If there are fabric drops, contact your customer support representative for additional instructions. Do not proceed with the upgrade until you have spoken to your customer support representative.

After all five TXP-T1600 SIBs have been installed, connected, and you have verified that they are operational, delete the fabric upgrade-mode statement from both the TX Matrix Plus router and the T1600 router.
