Overview of Providing Power to the TX Matrix Router

To provide power to the TX Matrix router:

  1. Read the safety guidelines and warnings for working with electricity.

    See TX Matrix General Electrical Safety Guidelines, TX Matrix DC Power Electrical Safety Guidelines, DC Power Electrical Safety Warnings for Juniper Networks Hardware Equipment, and General Electrical Safety Warnings for Juniper Networks Hardware Equipment.

  2. Gather the tools for connecting to power.

    See Tools and Parts Required for Connecting the TX Matrix Router to Power.

  3. Connect the DC power cables to the power supplies.

    See Connecting Power to a Two-Input 160-A Power Supply in a TX Matrix Router or Connecting Power to a Three-Input 240-A Power Supply In 2-INPUT Mode in a TX Matrix Router.

    Note: Redundant power supplies must be the same hardware model number. You cannot mix a two-input 160-A power supply and three-input 240-A power supply In the same router, except when upgrading the power supplies.

  4. Power on the TX Matrix router.
