Connecting the M10i Router to External Devices

After you have grounded the M10i router, you can connect the following external devices:

  • An external console or auxiliary device to the CONSOLE port on the Routing Engine.

    See Connecting to an M10I Management Console or Auxiliary Device

  • A laptop, modem, or other auxiliary device to the AUX/MODEM port on the Routing Engine.

  • A management network to the ETHERNET port on the Routing Engine.
