Replacing the TX Matrix Craft Interface

The craft interface is located on the lower front of the TX Matrix router below the air filter. The craft interface weighs approximately 2 lb (0.9 kg). The craft interface is hot-insertable and hot-removable.

  2. Installing the TX Matrix Craft Interface

Removing the TX Matrix Craft Interface

To remove the craft interface (see Figure 1):

Note: Removing the front air filter might make it easier to grasp the craft interface. For instructions, see Removing the TX Matrix Front Air Filter.

  1. Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
  2. Completely loosen the screws at the four corners of the craft interface using a Phillips (+) screwdriver, number 1.
  3. Grasp the craft interface by the top and bottom edges and carefully pull it straight out of the chassis.

Caution: Do not leave the craft interface slot empty for more than a short time while the TX Matrix router is operational. The craft interface must remain in the chassis for proper airflow.

Installing the TX Matrix Craft Interface

To install the craft interface (see Figure 2):

  1. Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
  2. Grasping the craft interface by the top and bottom edges, press it into place.
  3. Tighten the screws at the corners of the craft interface.

Note: When you install the craft interface in an operating TX Matrix router, allow several minutes for the LEDs and display on the craft interface to reflect the current state of the TX Matrix router.
