Setting the M/S Configuration Switches on the T1600 LCC-CBs

You configure a T1600 chassis ID by setting a physical switch on each LCC-CB faceplate in the T1600 router.

To set the M/S configuration switches:

  1. Set the M/S switch on each LCC-CB faceplate to M.
  2. Verify that the chassis ID switch on each LCC-CB is set to a value of 0. You must use the same chassis ID on each LCC-CB on the T1600 router.

You must follow these requirements when setting the LCC-CB ID switches during the integration of an operational T1600 router:

    • You assign a chassis ID of 0 to the router. Both LCC-CBs in a T1600 router must be set to 0. The switch setting must be unique within the routing matrix.
    • The switch settings must match where the control cables are connected on the LCC-CB.
