Overview of Installing a T1600 Router Using a Mechanical Lift
Because of the T1600 router's size and weight—up
to 606 lb (275 kg) depending on the configuration—we strongly
recommend that you install the router using a mechanical lift.
- Verify that the mounting hardware has been installed as
described in Installing the T1600 Mounting Hardware for an Open-Frame Rack or Installing the T1600 Mounting Hardware for a Four-Post Rack or Cabinet .
- Remove the router from the shipping crate as described
in Unpacking the T1600 Router.
- Gather the tools required to install the router.

- Remove the power supplies.

- Attach the T1600 installation handle.

- Mount the T1600 chassis in the rack or cabinet.

- Remove the T1600 installation handle, and reinstall the
power supplies.
