Removing the Managment Ethernet Cable
To connect the Routing Engine to a network, connect an
Ethernet cable with RJ-45/RJ-45 connectors to the ETHERNET port on the TXP-CIP. One cable is provided with the TX Matrix Plus
router.
- Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap
to your bare wrist, and connect the strap to one of the ESD points
on the chassis.
- Press the tab on the connector and pull the connector
straight out of the port. Figure 2 shows the connector.
- Disconnect the cable from the network device.
Installing the Management Ethernet Cable
To connect the Routing Engine to a network, connect an
Ethernet cable with RJ-45/RJ-45 connectors to the ETHERNET port on the TXP-CB.
- Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap
to your bare wrist, and connect the strap to one of the ESD points
on the chassis.
- Plug one end of the replacement Ethernet cable into the
appropriate ETHERNET port. Figure 1 shows the external device
ports on the TXP-CB.
- Plug the other end of the cable into the network device.
