EX8216 Switch Configurations

Table 1 lists the seven sample hardware configurations for an EX8216 switch—base (AC), redundant (AC and DC versions), and fully loaded chassis (AC and DC versions)—and the components included in each configuration.

The switch is shipped in only four of these seven configurations: base (AC), redundant (AC with 2000 W AC power supplies), redundant (AC with 3000 W AC power supplies), and redundant (DC).

Redundant configuration (AC with 2000 W AC power supplies)

Redundant configuration (AC with 3000 W AC power supplies)

Note: You can install up to 16 line cards (any combination of line cards) in the switch.

Note: Line cards are not part of the base or redundant configurations. You must order them separately.

Note: If you want to purchase additional power supplies (AC or DC) for your switch configuration, you must order them separately.
