JCS1200 Platform Features and Specifications

Table 1 provides a summary of the features and specifications of the JCS1200 platform.

Media tray (on front):

  • Minimum: One hot-swappable media tray

Each media tray consists of:

  • Two USB v2.0 ports (output power: 500 mA maximum)
  • Front system LED panel

Routing Engine bays (on front): Twelve hot-swappable Routing Engine (blade) bays

Module bays (on front):

  • Four hot-swappable power module bays
  • Four hot-swappable switch module bays

    Note: Only two switch module bays are currently supported.

  • Two hot-swappable management module bays

Module bays (on rear):

  • Two hot-swappable MUX card bays
  • One hot-swappable alarm panel module bay

    • Direct serial connector for Routing Engines

Power modules:

JCS1200 DC platform:

  • Four DC hot-swappable power modules that provide redundancy to all JCS1200 components

JCS1200 AC platform:

  • Four AC hot-swappable power modules that provide redundancy to all JCS1200 components

Management module:

  • Minimum: One hot-swappable management module
  • Maximum: Two hot-swappable management modules: one active, one hot stand-by

Redundant cooling: Four hot-swappable fan module bays (N+1 redundant)
