TX Matrix Plus Alarm Messages Overview

There are three classes of alarm messages.

  • TX Matrix Plus Chassis Alarm Messages Description
  • T1600 Router Chassis Alarm Messages
  • SONET/SDH Interface Alarm Messages

TX Matrix Plus Chassis Alarm Messages Description

TX Matrix Plus chassis alarms indicate a problem with a TX Matrix Plus chassis component such as the cooling system or power supplies.

T1600 Router Chassis Alarm Messages

T1600 router chassis alarms indicate a problem with a T1600 router (LCC) in the routing matrix, as described in Troubleshooting T1600 Router Chassis Alarm Messages. For a list of additional alarm messages that apply only to the T1600 router chassis, see the T1600 Core Router Hardware Guide PDF Document.

SONET/SDH Interface Alarm Messages

SONET/SDH interface alarms idicate a problem with a specific network interface. For example, Table 1 lists the alarm messages for a SONET/SDH interface. In a routing matrix, these messages apply only to a T1600 router. For more information about interface alarms, see the T1600 Core Router PIC Guide PDF Document.

The text in the column labeled ”LCD Message” appears in the LCD of the craft interface. The text in the column labeled “CLI Message” appears in the output from the show chassis alarms command.
