JCS1200 Routing Engine LEDs

Table 1 describes the functions of the LEDs on the Routing Engine.

Green

On steadily

There is activity on the hard disk drive or network.

Mastership

Blue

On steadily

Indicates mastership in a redundant Routing Engine pair.

Information

Yellow

On steadily

A system error in the Routing Engine has been placed in the management module event log. The information LED can be turned off through the management module

Blade-error

Yellow

On steadily

A system error has occurred in the Routing Engine (blade). The blade-error LED turns off only after the error is corrected.

Power-on

Green

Flashing rapidly

The service processor (BMC) on the Routing Engine is communicating with the management module.

Green

Flashing slowly

The Routing Engine has power but is not turned on.

Green

On steadily

The Routing Engine has power and is turned on.
