Software release

  • Multiservices 100: Junos OS Release 8.1 and later (Type 1)
  • Multiservices 400: Junos OS Release 8.1R2 and later (Type 2)
  • Multiservices 500: Junos OS Release 8.3 and later (Type 3)

Description

  • Supports tunnel services. This feature is included with the PIC and does not require an individual license.
  • Individual licenses must be purchased for additional services.
  • Power requirement:
    • Type 1: 0.52 A @ 48 V (25 W)
    • Type 2: 0.69 A @ 48 V (33 W)
    • Type 3: 0.83 A @ 48 V (40 W)

Hardware features

  • Active monitoring on:
    • Type 1: up to 1.6 million flows
    • Type 2: up to 3.2 million flows
    • Type 3: up to 3.2 million flows

Software features

  • Support for up to 2000 service sets
  • Support for MTUs up to 9192 bytes for Gigabit Ethernet and SONET interfaces

Depending on your Junos OS Release and individual licenses, software features for this PIC can include the features listed in Table 1. For more information about the software features available for services PICs, see the Junos OS Services Interfaces Configuration Guide PDF Document.

LEDs

Status LED, one tricolor:

  • Off—PIC is offline and it is safe to remove it from the chassis.
  • Green—PIC is operating normally.
  • Yellow—PIC is initializing.
  • Red—PIC has an error or failure and no further harm can be done by removing it from the chassis.

Application LED, one bicolor:

  • Off—Service is not running.
  • Green—Service is running under acceptable load.
  • Yellow—Service is overloaded.
