Troubleshooting the JCS1200 Fan Module

Table 1 shows common symptoms and corrective actions for troubleshooting fan module problems.

Table 1: Troubleshooting JCS1200 Fan Module Problems

Symptom

Action

A fan module is always operating at full speed.

  1. Make sure that:
    • The other fans are installed and working.
    • At least one management module is installed, and it is active and working.
  2. Reseat the fan module.
  3. Contact your Juniper Networks representative.

A fan module is not working.

  1. Make sure that all power cords are connected to a compatible power source and that the power source is working (see Connecting the JCS1200 AC Platform to AC Power or Connecting the JCS1200 DC Platform to DC Power
  2. Reseat the fan module.
  3. Contact your Juniper Networks representative.
