Syntax

family family {access-concentrator name;address address;demux-source {source-address;}duplicate-protection;dynamic-profile profile-name;filter {input filter-name;output filter-name;}mac-validate (loose | strict);max-sessions number;max-sessions-vsa-ignore;service-name-table table-name;short-cycle-protection <lockout-time-min minimum-seconds lockout-time-max maximum-seconds>;unnumbered-address interface-name <preferred-source-address address>;}

[edit dynamic-profiles profile-name interfaces demux0 unit logical-unit-number]

Release Information

Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 9.3.

Option pppoe introduced in Junos OS Release 11.2.

Description

Configure protocol family information for the logical interface.

Note: Not all subordinate stanzas are available to every protocol family. See the Junos OS Configuration Statements and Commands PDF Document for details about each protocol family.

Options

family—Protocol family:

  • inet—Internet Protocol version 4 suite
  • inet6—Internet Protocol version 6 suite
  • pppoe—(MX Series routers with Trio MPCs only) Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet
