Welcome to the third solutions installment of our Juniper Networks customer newsletter, featuring a series of downloadable short videos to highlight the Juniper solutions that enable enterprises to address security and connectivity requirements cost-effectively for branch and medium-sized offices.

Issue three focuses on the Juniper Application Performance Solution. Please read on to find out more.

Give Branch Office Users the Performance They Want for the Applications They Need
Increasing traffic volume, mounting regulatory pressure, and IT initiatives such as server centralisation, web-enablement of applications, and new application rollouts are placing additional requirements on the branch office infrastructure. IT must meet these requirements while providing branch office users with the same fast and consistent application response times enjoyed by their counterparts at headquarters. Juniper Networks application acceleration solutions:

  • Increase productivity by delivering LAN-like performance for branch and remote users by allowing access to centralised applications 5 to 30 times faster than current speeds
  • Reduce costs through hardware, application software licenses, WAN services, and IT optimisation
  • Offer complete visibility into application and WAN performance

Only Juniper Networks provides application acceleration across the broadest range of application types—along with a portfolio of complementary security and transport solutions for branch offices. Click here to download Juniper Networks’ Application Performance Solution video, to learn more.

Intermatic Brightens Employees’ Workdays by Igniting Application Performance with Juniper Networks Powerful Solution Set
Intermatic turned to Juniper to upgrade its IT infrastructure with best-in-class, high-performance networking and security solutions that could support business-critical applications, including mainframe sessions, email, design/engineering, SQL queries, finance, ecommerce for partners and customers, and video streaming. Intermatic needed to optimise application performance across multiple national and international locations by overcoming WAN latency and bandwidth limitations. And it needed to protect the network from intrusions and mitigate risk from external threats.

After deploying Juniper, Intermatic was able to increase employee productivity by delivering improved performance for Microsoft® Windows® file services, Microsoft® Outlook®, mainframe sessions, SQL queries and CAD applications by 6X or more. It has significantly accelerated file downloads over the WAN, reducing a typical 90-second operation for opening a file to less than one second. It has also stopped applications from freezing on oversubscribed international circuits and achieved an 80% ROI in less than one year.
