Worm.Win32.Eyeveg.g

Kaspersky Lab has detected a new version of Eyeveg, which is a malicious email worm. Worm.Win32.Eyeveg.g was sent out to the Russian segment of the Internet this morning.

The worm propagates as an attachment to infected messages. The attachment is a ZIP file, 76KB in size, and it contains the body of the worm.

Eyeveg.g differs from Eyeveg.f only very slightly. In this latest version, the worm file is packed using a different version of UPX, and the executable file is 78336 bytes in size.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus databases have already been updated to detect this latest variant of Eyeveg.
