Title: Owl's Workshop Multiple Remote File Disclosure Vulnerabilities
Severity: HIGH
Description:
Owl's Workshop is a freely available web-based educational tool for creating exercises, readings, and online presentations. Implemented in PHP, it can be deployed on UNIX and variant platforms as well as Windows.
The application is reported prone to multiple remote file-disclosure vulnerabilities because it fails to validate user-supplied input passed via a URI parameter.
Reportedly, these issues affect the following scripts and URI parameters:
'index.php' : 'file' and 'filename'
'resultsignore.php' : 'filename'
'gloassary.php' : 'editfile'
'newmultiplechoice.php' : 'editfile'
Upon successful exploitation of these issues, an attacker may be able to gain access to sensitive system files, potentially facilitating further attacks.
