Title: Sun Microsystems Sun One Web Server Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Description:
Sun ONE is the enterprise web server package distributed and maintained by Sun Microsystems. It is available for the Unix and Microsoft Windows platforms.
Sun Microsystems Sun ONE has been reported to be vulnerable to a remote buffer overflow vulnerability. Because of this, it is possible for a remote attacker to deny service to legitimate users of an affected web server. This problem is known to affect Sun ONE on the HP-UX platform only.
Specific details of the impact and affected component are not currently available. However, it is theorized that due to the nature of the problem, a boundary condition error, it may also be possible to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the web server process. This theory has not been confirmed by Symantec or Sun Microsystems.
