Title: Alt-N Japanese Localized MDaemon Remote Denial Of Service Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

MDaemon is a Microsoft Windows based mail server product.

ASCII solutions localize MDaemon for the Japanese market. The Japanese localized version of MDaemon has been reported prone to a remotely triggered denial of service condition.

The issue has been reported to present itself when the affected daemon handles a large number of consecutive connections, specifically 314, an Access violation error will occur and the MDaemon.exe executable will crash.

It should be noted that although this vulnerability has been reported to affect Japanese localized MDaemon, other versions might also be affected.
