Title: ImageFolio Admin.CGI Directory Traversal Vulnerability
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
ImageFolio is a web based image archive package, including administrative support through a web interface.
ImageFolio 'admin.cgi' has been reported prone to a directory traversal vulnerability.
By supplying directory traversal sequences, as a URI parameter, to the 'admin.cgi' script an attacker may break out of the web root directory. Attackers may gain access to files that are readable by the web server, the attacker may also use 'admin.cgi' functionality to delete these files.
Successful exploitation may expose sensitive information to remote attackers. This information could be used to aid in further attacks against the affected system. An attacker may also trigger a denial of service attack, by removing critical system files.
It should be noted that this vulnerability has been reported to affect all versions of ImageFolio.
