Title: Bandmin Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Description:

Bandmin is a CGI script designed for network traffic monitoring. It is available for the Unix, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems.

It has been reported that a cross-site scripting vulnerability exists in Bandmin. The problem with this script may lead to a violation of site security properties.

The problem is in the checking of input supplied in URI parameters to the 'index.cgi' script. The script does not sanitize input of HTML before displaying it in web pages. This may result in the theft of authentication credentials, or execution of malicious HTML or script content in the security context of the site hosting Bandmin.
