Description:
Snowblind Web Server is a freely available web server designed for use with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
Snowblind Web Server has been reported prone to a buffer overflow vulnerability. The vulnerability exists when the web server attempts to process HTTP requests of excessive length. Specifically, when the web server processes a malformed HTTP GET request consisting of more than 219 bytes, the web server will crash. This will result in a denial of service condition.
Although unconfirmed, this vulnerability may be exploited to execute attacker-supplied code with the privileges of the vulnerable web server.
This vulnerability was reported for Snowblind Web Server version 1.0. It is likely that other versions are also affected.
