Description:
Netscape is a Web browser developed for a variety of platforms including Microsoft Windows and Linux and Unix variant operating environments.
A vulnerability has been reported for Netscape that may reveal the contents of users' cached information to remote attackers.
An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to visit a malicious Web site. The Web site contains JavaScript code that will exploit this vulnerability.
Information stored in a user's cache may contain sensitive data. Any unauthorized viewing of this data may allow an attacker to launch other attacks against a vulnerable system or user.
This vulnerability has been reported to affect Netscape 3.04, 4.06 and 4.07.
