Title: Polycom ViewStation ICMP Denial Of Service Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Polycom ViewStation is a series of video-conferencing products. The ViewStation devices ship with an on-board proprietary operating system which allows remote access via Telnet, FTP and HTTP.

Polycom ViewStation devices are prone to a denial of service upon receipt of overly long or malformed ICMP packets. The malformed ICMP packets are reported to cause the camera to crash. This may restrict availability of the device for legitimate users.

The device may need to be restarted to regain normal functionality.
