Title: BEA Systems WebLogic Access Controls Bypass Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

BEA Systems WebLogic Server is a web and wireless application server for Microsoft Windows and most Unix and Linux distributions.

A vulnerability has been announced in WebLogic. A remote attacker may bypass access control measures, and view restricted resources. This may be accomplished by submitting a maliciously constructed URL for the resource in question to the WebLogic server.

Access control measures may be bypassed if the URL requested contains multiple forward slashes (/) immediately before the protected resource. Exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker access to sensitive JSP or servlet pages.
