Title: pwdutils Unauthorized Root Password Modification Vulnerability

Description:
pwdutils is a set of utilities which manage password and user information, and is maintained by Thorsten Kukuk.
An issue has been discovered in pwdutils, which could allow an unauthorized user to modify the root password.
Exploitation of this issue requires, a remote user to submit the rpasswdd command and change the root password. Users are not authenticated when submitting this command.
A remote attacker able to exploit this condition will be able to execute commands with root privileges, potentially compromising the system.
