Title: MiniBB Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
MiniBB is web forum software. It is written in PHP and will run on most Unix and Linux variants as well as Microsoft Windows operating systems.
MiniBB does not filter script code from URL parameters, making it prone to cross-site scripting attacks. Attacker-supplied script code may be included in a malicious link to the 'index.php'. The attacker-supplied script code will be executed in the browser of a web user who visits this malicious link, in the security context of the website running MiniBB. Such a malicious link might be included in a HTML e-mail or on a malicious webpage.
This may enable a remote attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials from legitimate users of a website running MiniBB.
