Description:

dotDefender is a website security application.

dotDefender is prone to a vulnerability that attackers can leverage to execute arbitrary commands because the software fails to adequately sanitize user-supplied input. Specifically, this issue affects the 'deletesitename' parameter of the 'index1.cgi' script when called with the 'action' parameter set to 'deletesite'.

Successful attacks can compromise the affected software and the underlying server.

dotDefender 3.8-5 and prior 3.x versions are vulnerable.
