Title: chCounter 'visitor_details.php' Input Validation Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

chCounter is a PHP-based visitor counter application.

The application is prone to a vulnerability that may allow an attacker to inject malicious HTML or SQL because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied data to the 'wert' field in the 'chc_pages' table of 'administrator/visitor_details.php'. When an admin views the data in the vulnerable field, the malicious code may be run.

Exploiting this issue may allow an attacker to compromise the application, access or modify data, steal cookie-based authentication credentials, control how the site is rendered to the user, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database; other attacks are also possible.

chCounter 3.1.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
