Title: G5-Scripts Guestbook PHP 'guestbook.php' HTML Injection Vulnerability
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
Guestbook PHP is a web-based application implemented in PHP.
Guestbook PHP is prone to an HTML-injection vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. Specifically, this issue affects the following parameters of the 'guestbook.php' script.
'name'
'vorname'
'land'
'homepage'
Attacker-supplied HTML or JavaScript code could run in the context of the affected site, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to control how the site is rendered to the user; other attacks are also possible.
Guestbook PHP 1.2.8 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
Affected Products:
- G5 Scripts Guestbook PHP 1.2.8
