Title: Aladdin eToken PKI Client ETV File Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
Aladdin eToken PKI Client facilitates eToken USB operations which allow PKI keys, and digital certificates to be generated, stored and used on-board a smart-card-based eToken device.
The application is prone to a remote code-execution vulnerability. The vulnerability occurs when handling specially crafted ETV files and likely occurs because the application fails to perform boundary checks prior to copying user-supplied data to process buffers.
An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition.
Aladdin eToken PKI Client 4.5 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
Affected Products:
- Aladdin Enterprises eToken PKI Client 4.5
