Description:
FoxMediaTools FoxPlayer is a multimedia player available for Microsoft Windows.
The application is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate checks on user-supplied input. Specifically, this issue occurs when opening a specially crafted '.m3u' file.
Attackers may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions.
FoxPlayer 1.7.0 and 2.0 are vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
