Title: Linux Kernel 'fasync_helper()' Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Linux kernel is prone to a local privilege-escalation vulnerability.

This issue occurs in the 'fasync_helper()' function because of a use-after-free error. The issue arises when the application handles file descriptors with the FASYNC flag set.

Local attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code with kernel-level privileges.

Successful exploits will result in the complete compromise of affected computers.

The Linux Kernel 2.6.28 and later are vulnerable.
