Title: MySQL OpenSSL Server Certificate yaSSL Security Bypass Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
MySQL is an open-source SQL database available for multiple operating systems.
MySQL is prone to a security-bypass vulnerability because MySQL clients that use OpenSSL fail to check the server certificates presented by a server that uses yaSSL.
An attacker can exploit this issue to bypass certain security restrictions and obtain sensitive information that may lead to further attacks.
Versions prior to MySQL 5.1.41 are vulnerable.
