Title: HP OpenView Network Node Manager 'ovdbrun.exe' Denial of Service Vulnerability

Description:

HP OpenView Network Node Manager (NNM) is a fault-management application for IP networks.

NNM is prone to a remote denial-of-service vulnerability that occurs in the 'ovdbrun.exe' service listening on TCP port 2690 (default). Specifically, the vulnerability occurs when handling a specially crafted network packet containing an invalid error code.

An attacker may leverage this issue to crash the affected application, denying service to affected users.

The issue affects NNM 7.51 and 7.53.
