Title: Drupal Link Module 'Link Title' HTML Injection Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
Link is a component for the Drupal content manager. The component adds functionality to the Content Construction Kit (CCK) module.
The application is prone to an HTML-injection vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the 'link title' field when using the 'Separate title and URL' formatter before using the input in dynamically generated content.
Attacker-supplied HTML and script code would run in the context of the affected browser, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials or to control how the site is rendered to the user. Other attacks are also possible.
Versions prior to the following are vulnerable:
Link 5.x-2.6
Link 6.x-2.7
Affected Products:
- Drupal Link 5.x-2.5
- Drupal Link 6.x-2.6
