Title: Drupal S5 Presentation Player Module HTML Injection Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

S5 Presentation Player is a PHP-based component for the Drupal content manager. The component creates S5 slideshows using site content.

The application is prone to an HTML-injection vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the HTML HEAD section before displaying it in a user's browser.

Successful exploits will allow attacker-supplied HTML and script code to run in the context of the affected browser, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials or to control how the site is rendered to the user. Other attacks are also possible.

Versions prior to S5 Presentation Player 6.x-1.1 are vulnerable.

Affected Products:

  • Drupal S5 Presentation Player 6.x-1.0
