Title: Sun Solaris Sockets Direct Protocol (SDP) Driver 'sdp(7D)' Remote Denial of Service Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
Sun Solaris is a UNIX-based operating system.
Solaris is prone to a remote denial-of-service vulnerability because of an error in the Sockets Direct Protocol (SDP) driver 'sdp(7D)'. A remote unprivileged attacker can exploit this issue by sending specially crafted requests to an affected computer.
Exploiting this issue allows attackers to exhaust kernel memory, denying service to legitimate users.
