Title: Mahara Resume Blocktype Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Mahara is a web-based portfolio application.

Mahara is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. This issue affects an unspecified parameter in the resume blocktype.

An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may let the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

This issue affects versions prior to Mahara 1.0.13 and 1.1.7.
