Title: Cherokee Directory Traversal Vulnerability
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
Cherokee is an HTTP webserver available for multiple platforms.
The application is prone to a directory-traversal vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. Remote attackers may use a specially crafted request with directory-traversal characters ('../') to retrieve arbitrary files from the affected system in the context of the application.
Information obtained could aid in further attacks.
Cherokee 0.5.4 and prior versions are vulnerable.
