Title: Sahana 'mod' Parameter Local File Disclosure Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Sahana is a web-based disaster-management application.

The application is prone to a local file-disclosure vulnerability because it fails to adequately validate user-supplied input. This issue affects the 'mod' parameter of the 'index.php' script. An attacker can obtain the contents of arbitrary files on the system by providing a NULL character at the end of a filename.

The attacker can obtain potentially sensitive information from local files on computers running the vulnerable application. This may aid in further attacks.

Sahana 0.6.2.2 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • RedHat Fedora 10
  • RedHat Fedora 11
  • Sahana Group Sahana 0.6.2.2
