Title: McKesson Horizon Clinical Infrastructure (HCI) Password Disclosure Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

McKesson Horizon Clinical Infrastructure (HCI) is a patient record datastore application for multiple McKesson applications. The HCI server implements an Oracle client for OCI/sqlplus connections to an Oracle database.

The application is prone to a local information-disclosure vulnerability because database passwords are hardcoded within the application. The 'CCDBA' account, which has Oracle 'sysdba' privileges, is stored in plain text in multiple binaries and scripts.

Exploiting this issue may allow an attacker to obtain sensitive information that may aid in further attacks.

HCI 7.6, 7.8, 10.0, and 10.1 are vulnerable. Other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • McKesson Horizon Clinical Infrastructure (HCI) 10.0
  • McKesson Horizon Clinical Infrastructure (HCI) 10.1
  • McKesson Horizon Clinical Infrastructure (HCI) 7.6
  • McKesson Horizon Clinical Infrastructure (HCI) 7.8
