Palm WebOS is a smartphone platform based on Linux.
WebOS is prone to a remote denial-of-service vulnerability because it fails to properly handle user-supplied input. Specifically, a floating-point exception may be triggered when the device is used to view a specially crafted webpage. This issue affects the 'LunaSysMgr' service and occurs when a page containing in excess of 50,280 bytes is refreshed in portrait mode.
Attackers can leverage this issue to cause an affected device o reboot. Given the nature of this issue, attackers may also be able to run arbitrary code, but this has not been confirmed.
Palm WebOS 1.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
