Title: Linksys WRT54GC Router Cross-Site Request Forgery Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

The Linksys WRT54GC router is a network device for home use.

The router is prone to a cross-site request-forgery vulnerability that affects the 'diagnostics.cgi' script and possibly other scripts. Attackers can exploit this issue by tricking a victim into visiting a malicious webpage. The page will consist of specially crafted script code designed to perform some action on the attacker's behalf.

Successful exploits may allow attackers to run privileged commands on the affected device, change configuration, cause denial-of-service conditions, or inject arbitrary script code. Other attacks are also possible.

This issue affects Linksys WRT54GC running firmware 1.01.5 and 1.00.7.

Affected Products:

  • Linksys WRT54GC 1.00.7 (Firmware)
  • Linksys WRT54GC 1.01.5 (Firmware)
