Title: Red Hat GNOME Display Manager Security Bypass Vulnerability

Description:

GNOME Display Manager (GDM) is a display manager for the X Window System.

The Red Hat GDM package is prone to a vulnerability that may create a false sense of security. Specifically, the package is built without TCP wrappers support. This may cause an administrator to incorrectly assume that access restrictions are in place.

Attackers can exploit this issue to gain unauthorized access to privileged resources.

This issue affects Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop (v. 5 client) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (v. 5 server).
