Title: Apache APR and APR-util Multiple Integer Overflow Vulnerabilities
Severity: CRITICAL
Description:
Apache APR (Apache Portable Runtime) is a library for API development. 'APR-util' is a library of utility functions used by several software applications, including the Apache HTTP server.
Apache APR and 'APR-util' are prone to multiple integer-overflow vulnerabilities that affect the following source files and functions:
'util-misc/apr_rmm.c': 'apr_rmm_malloc()', 'apr_rmm_calloc()', 'apr_rmm_realloc()'
'memory/unix/apr_pools.c': 'allocator_alloc()', 'apr_palloc()', 'apr_pcalloc()'
Attackers can exploit these issues to execute arbitrary code in the context of an application that uses the affected library. Successful exploits will compromise the affected application and possibly the computer. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions.
